The Graduate Program in Health Sciences at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) is recognized for its excellence in education, research, and professional training. - Background History:
The Graduate Program in Health Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) was authorized in 1994 and recommended by CAPES in 1996, starting its activities in 1997 within the Clinical Medicine Department. In 2003, it expanded its scope and adopted a multidisciplinary focus. Graduates have gone on to work in teaching and research at federal institutions.
The Doctorate Degree was authorized in 2011, launched in 2012, and received a CAPES grade 6 in the 2022 evaluation, reflecting the program's academic excellence and high-quality scientific production.
Both the Master’s and Doctorate programs are currently rated grade 6 by CAPES (2022), demonstrating the program’s strong performance in graduate education and research in Health Sciences.
